What is the difference between pre biotics and pro biotics?

just simple please!my 23 mo. out-of-date son is disabled and i don't have time to look it up--thanks!they are recommended for himand i involve the simple lowdown.What is the difference between pre biotics and pro biotics?
Probiotic (Bifidus & Acidophilus...microflora or "good" bacteria). Prebiotic (FOS...food source for microflora). I use and recommend all innate Optiflora.
Hope this is helpful and quality free to contact me with question.
pre=before pro=for it(not against)
Pre biotics support the environment in the digestive tract to assist the body's cleverness to support good bugs. Probiotics are the upright bugs required by the body to maintain vigour and balance within the digestive tract.
Life style, illness, antibiotics, steriods, stress diet, etc can adjectives wipe out or deplete the body's unconscious balance of upright bugs. This can give rise to gut dsybiosis or bloating, resulting surrounded by rises of candida and increase potential for constipation.
In a word BOTH supplements would be of benefit to your son but you need to ensure product you purchase is age specific.
