What does the solar plexus chakra stand for?

I have be feeling nauseated lately and I know it is connected to my stormy state at the moment because the nausea comes after I have be thinking about things that are going on surrounded by my life. Seeing the foreboding is in the pit of my stomach I thought in the region of the solar plexus chakra (did a coarse in animated healing a long time ago). I own forgotton what the associations are here. can anyone remind me.What does the solar plexus chakra stand for?
