What type of herbal medicine are approved by US.FDA?
There is not herbal preparation recognized or agreed by the FDA. However, there are several studies going on near several herbs--like Ginkgo Biloba--that if accepted will be incorporated into the pharmaceutical industry for the creation of modern drugs upon American territory. Once the pharmaceutical industry take over any herb to extract one of its alkaloids for drug creation, it becomes patentized. But no herb can be patentized since it is of wide-reaching use.
When the Codex Alimentarus gets approved in attendance will be a swift reorganization about the use of herb and foods as never before. I hope US abide by its codes.
None that I know of, since herbals are not under the scrutiny of the FDA. It's other good to discuss to your local pharmacist if you have question regarding the agency an herbal medicine will work next to your current prescription medication.

There aren't any products, but the FDA does spot that certain herbals are completely potent.
For example, the plant Foxglove gives us the drug digitalis which have saved the lives of abundant people next to heart disease.
I guess there's always Aspirin...that's technically an herbal...
